Sunny's says "NO!" to Buzz Cuts:)

Sunny P. is one of my most favorite people in the world.  We go back 25 years.  The first time I met her, I was new in our Chandler ward that we had just moved in to.  I was trying to jump right into everything I could--including Ward choir.  Choir practice was at Marilyn C.'s home--who lived right next door to Sunny.  Sunny also came to that choir practice, late, wearing cougar print silk PJs, big hoop earrings, and yelling at her dog to "go back home."  I remember thinking, "Who IS this lady???"  She also introduced herself to me by saying, "My name is Sunny & I'm married to a Mexican old enough to be my dad."

Well Sunny is Sunny and you can't help but love her.  She and her husband always sat right behind us in Sacrament meeting.  Sunny always asked baby Carlie to come back and sit with her so that she could color in Carlie's Princess coloring books.  Sunny liked coloring with Carlie because apparently she always had "sharp crayons."πŸ˜‚.  Her husband, Adam, always did his best to distract the Deacons passing the Sacrament by trying to make them laugh by hissing and whispering at them.  It was a fight every week as to what Deacon "HAD" to pass the Sacrament to our side because they didn't want to be near Bro. Perez.

Like I said, we go WAY back and she's been cutting my family's hair for all these years as well.  She even did Max's perms.  So I knew I would have Sunny on my side when it came to Max buzzing his head once again this year.  Sunny HATES buzz cuts and said she used to pay her son to NOT buzz his head every summer.

THANK YOU SUNNY!  I knew you would have my back on thisπŸ’›πŸ’›πŸ’›

Christmas 2023

Another great Christmas at home this year but I sure missed my missionary.  Max is kinda my "Pampered Princess" and I missed him fiercely this year:). It was really nice to have my other 3 kids and my dad here this year doing all our normal traditions--Christmas Eve PJs and lights.  We also watched "Wonka" at the theatre--which was fantastic.

We also had Chris's younger brother--Kenny--over for Christmas day dinner and we spent most of the day talking with Max.  It was so good to hear Max talking/arguing with his sisters.  Made me miss him even more.  He & Tatum pretty much just talk in "Tik-Toks" so we mostly have NO idea what they were saying but they had a great time catching up as they don't get to talk much on a normal Monday.  Overall it was a great Christmas and I loved every minute with my people.
