Tatum's Preschool Program!!!

So this is my fourth and final 3 year-old Packer Preschool Program! I have LOVED LOVED LOVED everyone one of these programs. Mrs. Packer does such an awesome job and I am soo happy that all 4 of my kids have had the opportunity to experience her program.

My kids have never been the "shy"ones in programs but I think Tatum takes the cake as the most....gosh, there are SOO many words to describe her performance...loud/slightly over the top/aggressive/HILARIOUS/just plain vivacious!!! She sings with GUSTO for sure! I was having one heck of a time trying to keep the camera steady because I was laughing soo hard!!! Yes! That is my cute little girl in the pink and yellow flower dress on the right hand side of the front row. Her "serious" face was cracking me up! What can I say, she's the youngest of 4 kids and SHE WILL BE HEARD:) These are just 3 of my favorite songs--there were more:)

Tatum wants WHAT?!?!

I was enjoying a few quiet moments to myself on my Sunday afternoon yesterday when my sweet little Tatum runs down stairs to tell me:

"Mom!!! I want a pink diarrhea!!!"

"WHAT do you want?!" I ask.

"PINK DIARRHEA mom! Just like Carlie!" she says.

Still confused I call Carlie down to make sense of the situation (or to question her bowel movements). And come to find out what she REALLY wants is a pink "DIARY!" NOT diarrhea!!! Apparently she keeps stealing Carlie's pink diary and Carlie won't give the diary to her so she wants her own.

Thank goodness:) I will GLADLY get her a pink "diary" on my next shopping trip:)

DANG!!! These girls are CUTE:)

It's Piano Recital Time (again:)!

Oh the WONDERFUL month of May! I am SOO glad we're nearing the end!

The boys had the "Fathers and Sons" camp out this weekend so the boys THOUGHT they were getting out of the recital but NOT SO!!! Bwahahaha! I am such a meanie mom! They still had to play their songs for the blog! (Sorry guys! Next time ask for a mom that ISN'T a piano teacher:)

Here's my Max:

Here's my Ethan:

And here's my Carlie! If ANY of my kids should complain, it should be her. She had to play for 3 of the 4 recitals--just wherever I needed her. But this is in no way a punishment for her. She LOVES to perform ANY chance she gets:)

Best Mother's Day Weekend EVER!!!

I had an AMAZING Mother's Day weekend. It seriously lasted 3 days:) It all started with Max's kindergarten Mother's Day celebration on Friday morning--"Muffins with Moms." I got to go to his class, wear a beautiful crown made by Max and eat a yummy brunch with him. I was also quite pleased with his little "Mother's Day Interview" where he answered a few questions about me--I never know what to expect with this kid but here are some of the things he said about me:

Mom's name: Buffie
Mom's weight: 105 (I wish:)
Mom's favorite food: Salad and water
What mom does when I'm at school: Reads her scriptures and prays

So I sounded like a perfect, skinny, righteous mother. Way to go Max!!!

Friday night, Chris took me out to my MOST FAVORITE mexican restaurant--Si Senor. Then we went to see a play at the Herberger Theater in Phoenix. "The Mystery of Irma Vepp."

Chris and I saw this show when it was here 12 years ago! Back when we were young and with no kids. When I heard it was coming back, I just HAD to go see it again. It is HILARIOUS!!! There are 2 actors that play 10 total characters so the costume changes in and of themselves are AMAZING! Enjoyed it 12 years ago, enjoyed again this past weekend:)

Saturday was a busy day with kid's going every different direction. But this handsome guy made my day:

He has been playing basketball this spring. This surprised me because he's not a very aggressive kid and I find basketball to be an aggressive game. So this has been his first season and he has just LOVED playing. He has 2 basketballs and he's suppose to bring 1 of them to his game every week for warm-ups. Well, this past week, he wanted to bring BOTH of his basketballs. I asked, "Why Ethan? That's just going to be a pain carrying 2. But whatever, just make sure they BOTH come home." Well, come to find out, there is a boy on his team that doesn't have a basketball of his own and so when the team warms up, he really doesn't have anything to do but chase down the other kid's balls. So Ethan had brought the second ball for this boy. MELTED MY HEART!!! That is just SOO like my Ethan to notice something like that. Gotta love that boy!!!

Ethan also brought me breakfast in bed on Sunday morning. He was quite funny the night before he kept asking me questions trying NOT to give away his plan but TOTALLY giving away his plan too. He asked, "Mom, you still like Frosted Mini Wheats right?" "Hey mom, could you leave a flashlight by your door tonight?" That's where I said, "Um Ethan...we don't really get to sleep in on Sundays but I'd like to sleep as long as I can so PLEASE PLEASE DON'T wake up before the sun." Well, he was great! I got my frosted mini wheats in bed along with a super cute mother's day poem.

What a great weekend I had. My family sure made me feel special. I am so blessed to have such a crew. LOVE YOU GUYS TONS AND TONS:)

More Max-isms!!! (but cute ones:)

This handsome dude had an amazing week:)

He is playing T-ball right now (on the "Cubs") and is having the time of his life!!! He has been playing all positions on the field but his favorite position is "pitcher." They don't really pitch at this point but he gets to be a part of every play here--and he has made some amazing plays! He had a game this past Monday. He made 2 AWESOME plays where the ball was hit right to him as the pitcher. He picked the ball right up and made a perfect toss to the first baseman and got 2 people out!!! The BEST play came when he CAUGHT A POP FLY!!! Oh yes he did!!! He totally did not mean to but he did!!! He told me after the game, "Mom! It was SOOO CREEEEEPY!!! I just stuck my hand out and closed my eyes and when I opened them...THE BALL WAS IN MY GLOVE!!!" We were sooo proud of him!!!

Well, this amazing kid had ANOTHER game on Wednesday. He was soo pumped up about catching the pop fly in the last game that he told me that he was going to catch ANOTHER one this game....well.....HE DID IT AGAIN!!! This time he kinda meant to. It was AMAZING!!! Max we are SOOO proud of you--especially Dad. The poor guy needs an athlete in the family:)

The reason I have not touched my blog in over a week is because my younger brother and his wife dropped their two little girls off at my home for the week--Sabey is 3 and Devoney is 8 months. Good times and a GREAT reminder that 4 kids is ALL I NEED:) Max was totally smitten with little Devoney. She loved him too. She liked to grab his hair and eat his face. Here's a pic:

Max asked me one night, "Hey mom...do you think we could get another baby?" I said, "No Max, there's no more babies for us. But if there were, would you want a little brother or little sister?" He answered, "A sister FOR SURE!!!" He just cracks me up. He is a great big brother to Tatum and that will just have to hold him until he can have little girls of his own:) Love you Max!!!

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter here this year! My parents came up to spoil me for my birthday and to celebrate Easter with the kids. Chris was even HOME!!! It was a fantastic weekend! The pics are pretty self-explanatory.

Max had a "Monster Egg" kit. He wanted to look scary so he told me NOT to fix his red eyes in the 2nd pic--so Max:)
