Last AWESOME thing of our weekend...Ethan's Eagle Court of Honor!!!
We were super excited to share this night with 2 other boys in our ward--Alex & Jameson. I adore all 3 of these boys--Ethan of course, but all 3 are currently piano students of mine. And I just love their moms too. It made planning this night tons easier having others to help.
I am super proud of this boy of mine:
Such HANDSOME boys!!!

Papa Frank & Ethan
Ethan gave his "Mentor Pin" to Bro. Ross in our ward who was a big help to him at scout camp.
And to finish out our Halloween, TRICK OR TREATING!!!
All of my kids went different directions tonight which meant I got to stay home--which was really nice because I was EXHAUSTED and still had to make treats for Ethan's Court of Honor that would be happening the next day:)
So here are all my kiddos in their trick-or-treating groups:
Carlie went with Lois to a "Teen Halloween" Party
Max went out with his neighborhood friends--the Thurmans:)
Max was Michael Meyers--he took this role VERY seriously... he didn't talk (just like in the movies), and he moved very slowly and stiffly and breathed heavy:) He came home early just to scare people on our front porch:)
Tatum went out with her neighborhood friends (& Grandpa Frank) Sophia & Elaine
My husband did Tatum's make-up. He feels like he's missed his life's calling as a make-up artist for "The Walking Dead"
Ethan & Cordry were so funny this year. They had a grand plan and they carried it out. They started the night as a judge and the Terminator but then came home, dressed in different costumes and hit the same houses not once, but TWO more times:) Crazy boys:)
We baptized our baby on HALLOWEEN!!! It was an amazingly CRAZY weekend in our home but a weekend that Tatum has been looking forwards to since January of this year!
At our "Great to Be 8" meeting in January we learned that our assigned baptism date was on Oct. 31st and Tatum was absolutely ecstatic about it and wanted to plan her baptism THAT night in January! We were able to push it off for a couple of months but by May of this year, her baptism was completely planned!
Tatum picked everything from the prayers & talks down to the pianist (Max) and chorister (Ethan). There was LOTS of practicing going on the 2 weeks leading up to her baptism but it all came together perfectly.
Our morning was quite hectic as Tatum had a softball game from 10-11 am. We pushed her baptism back to 11:30 (since she was the only one being baptized this day) so that she could make both. Well, we had to leave her game in the last inning but her team was in a good spot--and they held on and WON!!! So we came straight from the game, washed off her eye-black, and got her dressed in her white suit for the next awesome thing of the day:
Apparently we forget to tell Papa Frank that he
was confirming Tatum:) Poor guy! SURPRISE!!!
I should have gotten him a program:)
Ethan cracked me up! He MADE Max practice
his hymns over and over again while he
conducted. It all paid off because they were both AMAZING!
Such a stud in hi little bow tie:)
Uncle Kenny & Grandma Donna
Natalie & Tatum
The Parks were so kind to come to this:)
We are SOO proud of you Tatum Jane!
Such a beautiful day!
Keeping with our tradition, we carved pumpkins with the Park family again this year! It's something that my kids look forward to every year! The Parks were the hosts this year so we got to carve pumpkins in their beautiful brand new home--outside on the back porch of course:) Here are some pictures of our fun evening:
Silly Girls were more interested in dancing than the carving:)

Kevin & Chris have become super efficient at the carving thing! We finished in record time this year--and good thing because it was a school night:) Super fun night with one of our most favorite families!
Chris and I have talked for YEARS about taking the kids to see the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM. Chris grew up there and so he saw this big event happen every year. I had never personally been to this event myself. So we finally decided to be GOOD New Mexicans and take our kids to the biggest event that happens in our home state every year!
Chris still has family that lives in Albuquerque so we were able to stay with them--the Sharp Family. GREAT family, AWESOME food (I think I gained 5 lbs this weekend:), AMAZING views--a FABULOUS weekend all the way around!
We were up bright and early Friday morning (5 am--4 am AZ time:) to watch "The Launch." This morning had all of the "special shape" balloons--AMAZING works of art! Ethan was so amazed by these balloons. He told us, "When you said 'shapes' I thought you meant like a star." We did not see stars but we saw all of this:
We were right in the middle of the action! We could even touch the balloons!
Ethan's personal favorite balloon--Sonic the Hedgehog!
The most popular shapes were these two! There was even a Storm Trooper standing guard!!!
There they go!!!
For Friday afternoon, we took a drive up the Sandia Mountains. Such beautiful views of the changing trees and of the city:
We spent all of Saturday relaxing and visiting with family. Chris's cousins are AMAZING hosts and I think we pretty much just ate the weekend away. All good New Mexican food of course--Hatch green chili and jalepenos on EVERYTHING!!! Saturday evening, we headed back to the fiesta for the final events of the season.

Funny faces!!!

The BIG Finale: AMAZING fireworks show!!!
We seriously had the BEST time this weekend! A HUGE check off our "to do" list for sure. It was so great re-connecting with family too. We definitely realized that we need to get together more often with our amazing family members. They really want to camp with us next summer...I REALLY dislike camping but if it means I'm with these people, then I will do it and I will LIKE it too:)
This is the Meeker family residing in beautiful, sunny Chandler, AZ. Chris and I have 4 beautiful kids: Carlie (23), Ethan (21), Maxwell (18), and Tatum (16). Thanks for stopping by:)
