Relaxing Conference Weekend...(sigh) If Only!

Crazy/fun/important weekend here!  My little family of 6 was literally pulled in 5 different directions this weekend:
1-Chris went to Branson, MO for work on Thursday morning
2-My older brother, K.C., and his family were being sealed to their adopted son, Wyatt, in the San Diego Temple Friday afternoon--the boys and I packed up and left Friday morning for this.
3-My dear, sweet Mother-in-law came up to
A--Drive my carpool routes on Friday
B--Get Carlie on a bus at 6 am Saturday morning for her band trip to San Francisco, CA!
C--Get Tatum to her t-ball game at 8 am Saturday morning (if she missed her game her team would      have had to forfeit:)

Well, we did it all!  Chris never takes pictures.  I did!  Carlie will do her own post when she gets home later this week!  Here are me and my boys in San Diego:

Just a quick re-cap of my new nephew, Wyatt.  He was born to Carolynn's (my sis-in-law) step-sister.  The step-sister lost custody of this boy at birth because he tested positive for drugs.  Carolynn's step-father found out about the baby and asked K.C. and Carolynn if they would be interested in adopting him.  At the time, K.C. & Carolynn had 3 kids-1 boy and 2 girls.  They had really wanted another son but could not have any more because of Carolynn's last delivery turning into an emergency situation.  So, it all worked out perfectly.  Of course there are challenges and risks at taking in a child exposed to drugs but they had taken it one day at a time and what a LUCKY little guy this is:

Carolynn & Wyatt--cutest little guy ever!!!

The 3 Musketeers!  These boys just LOVE being together ANY chance they get:)
After the reception we headed over to Chuck E. Cheeses for a LATE night of fun & Games with cousins:)

The next morning--after sleeping in--the boys and I headed over to La Jolla beach to hang out for a little while before heading home.

There is a cove at La Jolla called "The Children's Beach" where dozens of seals and their pups live.  My kids are ALWAYS up for close encounters with animals of any kind--I blame my side of the family for the animal-lover gene!

You can see the bridge built out into the sea in the background.  We went there next and if you stay there long enough--you WILL get soaked!!!

So after a quick change of clothes, we headed back to good ol' AZ to FINALLY get to our relaxing conference weekend:)
